Luxury sculpture figure of a Ferrari Horse authored Kostylo

How we create luxurious ferrari horse figure-sculpture: the process of crafting excellence

There are enthusiasts of Ferrari – the embodiment of speed and timeless elegance, and there is Kostylo atelier – a devotee of beauty and art. We handcrafted the Ferrari horse figure entirely in our workshop, from the model to the final luxurious silver-plated sculpture of the horse, set against a base shaped like a shield adorned with the very rare semi-precious stone, striped flint, also known as the stone of optimism.

We begin the commissioned work for crafting the luxury sculpture figure of the Ferrari horse by creating a model of the figure. For this, we used artistic clay to faithfully replicate every intricate detail. Once approved by the client, our horse sculpture appears as follows.

Here you can see in all its glory the luxurious Ferrari horse sculpture authored Kostylo atelier.

The sketch and discussion on how the Kostylo atelier envisions the sculpture and its dynamics were a very important stage for further creation. After many meetings and emails, our model looked as follows.
the approved final model, along with an example of the coat of arms-shaped base, will soon be molded in lost-wax silicone at the Kostylo atelier
The next step involved silicone molding of the sculpture, which will be cast using the lost-wax method.

Casting using the lost-wax method, a highly precise technique that accurately replicates details. This method results in the sculpture being hollow inside, making it less heavy while maintaining intricate detailing
the lost wax moulds filled with hot brass have long been filled, yet the metal is still hot, indicating the correct casting temperature, as done at the Kostylo atelier

After the lost-wax casting process is completed, we proceed to hand-grind the sculpture, refining its shapes and achieving the desired effects, aiming for perfection.

The Ferrari horse sculpture is additionally copper-plated to ensure there are no micro-scratchesor micro-holes. We then sand it using sandpaper, following which the prepared sculpture is given a thick silver-plating.

In the meantime, we are also crafting the base for the horse sculpture as well as a luxury custom-sized box for the figure.
